Dance

Erin has been performing and teaching many styles of dance throughout Massachusetts for over 25 years. Starting out as a gymnast at Gymnastics Academy of Boston, after a few years she moved on to dancing at Paulette’s Ballet Studio, with two years on the varsity gymnastics team at Newton South High School. Erin was a dance minor at Emerson College.

Erin is former Assistant Director and dancer with Forty Steps Dance, a modern dance company in Nahant. She previously was a tap-dancer as “Mother Ginger” in Tony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker and performed other roles for several years, and has performed with companies such as Firelech Jewish Musical Theater, Jhumka Dance Company and on Boston’s Lady Panthers Dance Team. She has performed at the TD Garden (then Fleet Center), Boston’s Hatch Shell, Boston Center for the Arts, Newburyport’s Firehouse Center for the Arts, Windhover Center for the Performing Arts in Rockport and many parks around the North Shore of Mass.

Erin has also taught tap dance, jazz, ballet and preschool dance classes to all ages as a member of the faculty at Paulette’s Ballet Studio (Newton), Lucky Ten Young Talent Studio (Brighton), CardioTap NYC (Boston), and Dance Dimensions (Nahant). 

Erin currently works as a Graphic and Web Designer at the JCC of the North Shore in Marblehead.

Beneath the Surface

Modern Dance
Erin performed for 11 years with Forty Steps Dance in Nahant, MA.

Tap Dance
Previously seen on stage as “Mother Ginger” along with other roles in the Urban Nutcracker.

Musical Theater
Erin has performed ensemble roles in Pippin, Mamma Mia, Billy Elliot and Hair. She also recorded songs to perform on stage with Jewish Musical Theater Firelech.

Other Dance Styles
Erin has a varied background in gymnastics and aerial acrobatics, and, in addition to ballet and jazz, has performed in a variety of styles such as Bollywood and on the football sidelines.

Teaching
Erin has been teaching all styles of dance to children and adults of all ages since 1998. Her primary focus is jazz and tap, but she also teaches tumbling, ballet, modern, and toddler/preschool classes.
